Mary Gillihan, Dave Smith, and Robert Gillihan come together in the band, Harmony.

This Ozark Folk Center 50th Anniversary Legacy Photo is in honor of Uncle Dave.

With love, nieces Kate Viles and Elizabeth Taylor.

The folk trio, Harmony, was founded in 1988 when musical friends Mary and Robert Gillihan and Dave Smith were invited to represent the state of Arkansas at a travel writer's convention in Kansas City. Proficient with a wide variety of acoustic instruments, the three are best known for their tight three-part vocal harmonies.

In 1998, Harmony was named First Runner Up in A Prairie Home Companion's Talent from Towns Under 2000 contest in New York City. Harmony has performed many times on the stage of the Ozark Folk Center and has represented Arkansas, and the Folk Center, in shows all around the country.

Entry by Dave Smith.
